1. About Chu Ventures
Chu Ventures is a founder-led product studio operated by Chu Ventures LLC. We design, build, and launch custom digital products — including mobile apps, business websites, marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, internal tools, and MVPs — for founders, businesses, and operators primarily in the United States and Latin America.
Each project is scoped individually. We do not sell off-the-shelf software licenses or physical goods through this website.
2. Services we provide
Our professional services include, but are not limited to:
- Product discovery, scoping, and technical planning
- UI/UX design and prototyping
- Mobile app development (iOS, Android, and cross-platform)
- Business website and web application development
- Marketplace, e-commerce, and local commerce platform builds
- Internal tools and operational software
- MVP development for new ventures
- Ongoing maintenance, iteration, and technical advisory (when agreed separately)
Because every engagement is different, the exact deliverables, timeline, and pricing for your project are defined in a written proposal or statement of work — not on this website alone.
3. How to hire Chu Ventures
To start a project with us, clients typically follow this process:
- Initial inquiry. You submit the contact form at chuventures.com/contact or email hello@chuventures.com with a description of what you want to build, your business context, and any constraints (budget, timeline, platform requirements).
- Discovery conversation. We review your inquiry and schedule a call or written exchange to clarify goals, users, scope, and technical approach. This step is free and does not create a binding obligation for either party.
- Proposal and agreement. If we are a good fit, we send a written proposal or statement of work describing scope, milestones, timeline, fees, payment schedule, and deliverables. Work begins only after both parties sign the agreement and any required initial payment is received.
- Project execution. We build in agreed phases, share progress regularly, and incorporate feedback at defined review points.
- Delivery and handoff. Upon completion of the agreed scope, we deliver source code, documentation, and deployment assets as specified in the statement of work.
4. Custom and personalized services
All Chu Ventures engagements are custom services tailored to each client. We do not offer standardized packages with fixed deliverables sold directly through this website.
For personalized projects, the process works as follows: after the discovery conversation, we define a specific scope based on your business needs — which features to build first, which platforms to target, and what success looks like at launch. Pricing reflects the complexity, timeline, and team effort required for that scope. Changes to scope after the agreement is signed may require a change order with adjusted fees and timeline.
5. Pricing and payments
Project fees are quoted in the written proposal or statement of work. Unless stated otherwise, fees are quoted in US dollars. Payment terms — including deposit amount, milestone payments, and final payment — are specified in the agreement.
Invoices are due on the dates stated in the agreement. Late payments may pause work until the account is current. We may use third-party payment processors to collect payments; any processor fees or currency conversion costs are handled as specified in the agreement.
6. Client responsibilities
To keep projects on track, clients agree to:
- Provide timely feedback and approvals at agreed review points
- Supply content, brand assets, accounts, and access needed for development
- Designate a primary point of contact for decisions
- Ensure they have rights to any materials they provide for use in the project
Delays caused by missing feedback, assets, or access may extend the project timeline without reducing fees for work already performed.
7. Intellectual property
Upon full payment of all fees due under the agreement, clients receive ownership of the custom work product created specifically for their project, as defined in the statement of work. Chu Ventures retains ownership of pre-existing tools, frameworks, libraries, and general know-how developed before or independently of the project.
We may display completed work in our portfolio unless the client requests otherwise in writing before launch.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Because our work is custom and time-based, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis according to the signed agreement:
- Deposits and payments for work already completed or scheduled are generally non-refundable.
- If a client cancels before work begins, any unused deposit may be refunded minus reasonable administrative costs, as stated in the agreement.
- If Chu Ventures cannot fulfill the agreed scope for reasons within our control, we will discuss a fair resolution — which may include a partial refund for undelivered work.
We do not offer returns or exchanges because we provide professional services, not physical products.
9. Warranties and limitations
We warrant that services will be performed with professional skill and care consistent with industry standards. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes, revenue, or user adoption.
Except as required by applicable law, Chu Ventures is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the fees paid by the client for that project under the applicable agreement.
10. Confidentiality
We treat client business information, product plans, and proprietary materials as confidential unless the client authorizes disclosure or the information is already public. Mutual confidentiality terms may also be included in the signed agreement.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in how we operate. The current version is always published at this URL. Updates do not affect terms already agreed in a signed statement of work unless both parties agree in writing.
